Tour Itinerary

Croome NT

Croome is a fascinating place, built on the wealth and success of the Coventry family. The family created the most innovative designed landscapes in Britain, collaborating with some of the best talents, such as Capability Brown. Later, the estate was used as a secret airbase in the Second World War, and you can visit the RAF museum in the visitor centre.

Greyfriars House & Gardens NT

In 1490 a wealthy merchant built Greyfriars, and it was home to wealthy families until a baker took on the lease in 1699. The baker then split the house in two, and it became an eclectic mix of homes, shops, businesses, and even a kiddlywink for a short time. Extensions have been added over the years to accommodate the residents, including ten cottages in the back garden. 

Hanbury Hall NT

This William and Mary-style house offers a glimpse into life at the turn of the 18th-century. Original wall paintings by Sir James show the drama and politics that birthed Georgian society, whilst the gardens are relaxed with an orangery, orchards, and walled garden.

The Firs NT

The birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar welcomes you to view the Elgar Study Exhibition, the Birthplace Cottage, the Cottage Garden, and Visitor Centre. Nestled in the area of Malvern Hills, this small family home is welcoming and today will give you a real insight into Elgar's world.

Berrington Hall NT

This grand Georgian mansion sits within Capability Brown's final garden and landscape, which are a treat for all the senses throughout the year. In the house you can discover 230 years of history, and jewel-like interiors. 

Brockhampton NT

A romantic 14th century timber-framed house surrounded by a moat lies in the midst of this large estate, which you can enter through a timber-framed gatehouse. Brockhampton is home to the largest orchards in the National Trust's care, and this is accessible on hard-standing, accessible paths. 

Croft Castle & Parkland NT

A quiet castle resting on the English-Welsh border, Croft echoes with history and politics with a picturesque backdrop. The church is still used as a parish church today, with parts dating back to the 12th-century. Gardens and abundant parkland are available to explore, with ancient trees and colourful borders.
