Travel the Tuscan Region, in Search of Culinary Delights

Tuscany, with beautiful rolling hills, medieval historical towns, Renaissance art, wonderful wineries, and amazing food.

Price is per person sharing a double or twin room and is based on 25 passengers. Single supplement applies.


Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Transfer in UK from chosen pick-up point to airport, and then a transfer from destination to hotel.

Day 02

Travel to Florence by train. Admire the art and culture of the city with a guided tour to see some of the most important sights of the Old Town, such as the Palazzo Vecchioand the Duomo Complex, giving exemplerary examples of fine architecture. Follow in suit with the locals, heading to the many street food vendors who are magicians in their craft. Sample a tasty porchetta sandwich, it sounds simple but it is flavoured with garlic, lemon zest and lauded by many as the world's best sandwich. You will then have some free time to explore the city at leisure.

Day 03

Head to an agriturismo for a hands-on cookery class, with few, high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves. The fruits of your labour with then be a lovely reward, as you feast on your creation for lunch afterwards. You will then travel to Lucca, famous for its Opera House, Rennaisance walls, and buccellato, otherwise known as circular bread. The sights, sounds, scents and flavours of Lucca are a joy to all.

Day 04

Set off to Pisa to admire the UNESCO-listed Piazza dei Miracoli with the world’s most iconic leaning tower. In the shadow of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, you will see the Bell Tower, Cathedral, Baptistery and Cemetery. For the afternoon, you will head to Lari, set within castle walls, to visit Europe's smallest pasta factory. Although small in size, the Famigilia Martelli have been making pasta there since 1926, and will warmly welcome you for a tour. Complete the day with a cherry liquer tasting.

Day 05

Drive past the vineyards of the Chianti region, before heading on a truffle hunt in the woods with a truffle-hunter and his dog. Learn where and how to hunt for truffles, how the dog is trained, how to clean truffles and most importantly create tasty dishes. You will then finish the hunt with a truffle tasting, accompanied by local wine.

Day 06

Transfer from hotel to airport, then transfer from UK airport to chosen drop-off point.

The Orsucci family, direct owner of the Hotel, following its tourist hotel vocation, has decided to undertake in 2021 a total redevelopment of the structure, through an extraordinary restyling, which led the Hotel to become one of the first Green Hotel in town.

Eco hotel in the heart of Montecatini Terme. Through a total redevelopment process we have created an eco-sustainable structure consisting of the following facilities:

• Solar photovoltaic system with a power of 50 kW with total self-consumption of electricity  which meets 30% of our needs;

• Solar thermal system for the production of domestic hot water that meets 70% of our needs;

• Central heating and air conditioning system with new fancoils in the rooms;

• LED lighting system in the whole hotel;

• Home automation system in the rooms that allows access via electronic board and digital temperature control.
