The Golden Triangle is the name given to the group of three art museums in Madrid located in the Paseo de Prado. The El Prado is one of the most important art galleries in the world, rich in paintings by European artists from 15th – 19th centuries. The Reina Sofia encapsulates 20th century and contemporary artists and the Thyssen-Bornemisza another great gallery of art from the 13th to the 20th century comprising of works of art collected by the family over seven decades.
