Angel of the North

Dominating the skyline just outside Gateshead, the Angel of the North is one of the most iconic sculptures in the UK. Designed by Antony Gormley, this monumental steel figure stands 20 metres tall with a wingspan of 54 metres, symbolising the region’s industrial heritage and the enduring strength of the North East community.
