Enjoy a wonderful week in the Catalan region of Spain combining Floral magic with some fascinating art and architecture.

Price is per person sharing a twin or double room. Single supplement of £230pp applies. Please let us know if you would like to fly from your regional airport, and we will look into this for you (supplements may apply).

Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Fly to Girona, and transfer to the medieval seaside resort of Tossa de Mar. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 02

After breakfast, visit Blanes and its beautiful Botanical Gardens. A special tourist train will take you up to the gardens giving us great views over the port and beaches of Blanes. After your visit to this Mediterranean highlight, you will have free time for lunch on the elegant promenade before returning to the resort for time to relax.

Day 03

The Girona Flower Festival or ‘Temps de Flors’ is held during May every year in the Barri Vell neighbourhood, filling the city with plants and spectacular flower displays. The floral exhibition covers different monuments, courtyards, streets, bridges, shops, patios – basically anything, into unique ornamental gardens. Be enchanted by a combination of wonderful colours and aromas. After this feast for the eyes, enjoy a traditional Catalan lunch, with wine in the countryside.

Day 04

Today you will visit Montserrat, the symbolic heart of Catalonia. The stunning rock formation and history make it a unique visit. Explore at your leisure, with suggestions available from your tour manager, and some free time for lunch before heading to the Penedès area, famous for cava, and where you will visit Codorniu winery. This beautiful area is the ideal spot for a tasting.

Day 05

Take it easy this morning with a morning trip to Besalú, a medieval village close to your resort. Cross the Romanesque bridge, and wander its crooked streets with stone buildings, finding a tranquil terrace for a coffee. Return to your resort to spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 06

Today you will travel up the Costa Brava to the pretty fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell. Visit the Cap Roig gardens, before heading to the centre of Calella for your lunch at leisure. After lunch, visit the Castel de Púbol, residence of Gala Dali, Dali's Russian wife and inspirational muse. The quirky building dates back to medieval times, but has been altered by the genius, making it an interesting visit.

Day 07

Spend your last day relaxing, or feel free to ask your tour manager for any suggestions.

Day 08

Take a transfer back to the airport to return to the UK.
