Itinerary/Excursions

Portmeirion

Portmeirion is an Italian-inspired coastal village in North Wales, designed by architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 to showcase how beautiful architecture could sit harmoniously within a natural landscape. Set on a private peninsula overlooking the Dwyryd Estuary, it is known for its colourful buildings, subtropical gardens and unique atmosphere, attracting visitors from around the world.

Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Railway

Snowdon Mountain Railway is a historic rack and pinion railway that takes visitors to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales, offering panoramic views across Wales and beyond on clear days. Opened in 1896, the railway departs from Llanberis and provides a scenic journey through the heart of Eryri National Park, making the mountain accessible without the climb.

Conwy and Conwy Castle

Conwy is a historic walled town on the north coast of Wales, known for its well-preserved medieval streets, riverside setting and compact historic centre. It sits on the edge of the Conwy Estuary and offers a mix of heritage, independent shops and harbour views. Conwy Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Edward I between 1283 and 1287 as part of his ring of North Wales fortresses. With its massive curtain walls and eight towers, it is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Britain and offers panoramic views over Conwy and the surrounding coastline.
