The beauty and diversity of the landscape of the Italian Dolomites alone will enchant you. It features some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes, with vertical walls, sheer cliffs, and a high density of narrow deep & long valleys. Discover the endless vineyards, fruit orchards, ancient villages full of atmosphere, and impressive forts and castles.

Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Take a private transfer from your chosen pick-up point to UK airport. Once you have arrived at Verona airport, take a private transfer to hotel.

Day 02

The gorgeous Dolomites are located in the North East of Italy, and are a sight to behold. An English-speaking tour guide will show you this stunning mountain range. UNESCO has described them to be "widely regarded as being among the most attractive mountain landscapes in the world". The villages of the Dolomites are an enchanting mix of culture, architecture, and language; and street signs are written in Italian, German, and Latin. Also famed for their unique colours, once known as the Pale Mountains, they become firey at sunset and sunrise and ethereal purple during the dawn and dusk alpenglow. The verticality provides a dramatic contrast to the verdant, pastoral valleys beneath.

Day 03

Take a trip along the South Tyrol Wine Road, visiting a regional winery along the way. The South Tyrol Wine Road is the oldest such route in Italy, winding through expansive hills, vineyards, medeival villages and stunning countryside. Enjoy a wine tasting in a local wine cellar, complete with a selection of local snacks.

Day 04

Castle Thun was built between 1180 and 1190 by Duck Berthold V of Zähringen. The 46 ft Knights Hall was built as the centrepiece of a monument to Zähringen power. Today, the castle is a Swiss heritage site of national significence. The four white towers can be seen atop the castle hill from far and wide. The views of the surrounding mountains, Lake Thun and the old town are incredible from the towers, which you can climb up. After you have relished in the history of Thun Castle, enjoy a tasting of the delicious apple-based products of the Valley.

Day 05

If you decide you would rather enjoy the fabulous excursion to Meran and Trauttsmandorf Gardens then spend a day at leisure, you will be in for a treat. Meran, also known as 'Little Europe' is best known for its spa resorts and its Central European charm. After spending some time in this lovely village, you will visit Trauttsmandorf Gardens. An extraordinary botanical garden nestled into a twelve-hectare amphitheatre with an altitude differential of 100 meters. Trauttmansdorff offers spectacular views of exotic gardens and breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains and the spa resort town of Merano. More than 80 garden landscapes are filled with plants from all around the world, with Experience Stations, themed gardens, Artistic Pavilions and intriguing animals. NB This excursion is on request and at an additional cost Enjoy a Törggelen dinner on the last evening at the hotel. This traditional Tyrolean meal is based on local specialities such as barley soup, pork with sauerkraut and lucanica (local sausage), speck and cold cuts with chestnuts, and apple strudel accompanied by a glass of grape must.

Day 06

A private transfer will take you to the airport from your hotel. Once you have landed in England, a private transfer will drop you off at your chosen pick-up point.
