A place of legendary history, echoing from the 5th century BC
A spectacular journey around mainland Greece to discover the finest archaeological sites - Athens, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, and Delphi. Partake in a traditional cookery class, pottery workshop, and beekeeping experience as you travel the historical sites of one of the most legendary ancient civilisations.
Price is per person sharing a double or twin room. Single supplement of £370 applies.

Day 01
Fly from the UK, and arrive in Athens. Be warmly met by your tour guide, and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02
After breakfast, you will spend the morning sightseeing in Athens with a licensed guide, with whom you will also visit the Acropolis and Museum, one of the greatest universal symbols of the classical spirit and civilisation. You will then enjoy an orientation walk before returning to your hotel.

Day 03
Today you will depart Athens, and transfer to Delphi, where you will sightsee with a licensed guide. After some free time for lunch, you will check in to your hotel before heading to Arachova Village.

Day 04
Galaxidi, a stunning fishing village awaits your visit this morning. Glorious mansions and churches will pass you as you take a stroll, before meeting an experienced beekeeper in nearby Itea. Clothed in a protective suit, you will learn about the life of the bees, and their importance, before getting even closer if you wish. Taste some of the variations of honey made right where you are standing, before returning to your hotel.

Day 05
Depart for Olympia, where the extensive ruins include athletic training areas, a stadium, and temples dedicated to Zeus and Hera. After sightseeing in Olympia, partake in an intimate cookery class where you will get to the heart of authentic Greek ingredients, technique, history and flavours. A traditional filo pastry opening demonstration is just one of the techniques you will learn before enjoying lunch. Transfer to your hotel to check-in before some time at leisure.

Day 06
Today you will head to Nafplio, via Epidaurus. In Epidaurus, a local guide will show you around the small ancient city, the mythological birthplace of Asklepios, healing god and son of Apollo. After some free time for lunch, spend the afternoon at a local winery with tasting included. Once checked in to your hotel, you can join your tour leader for an orientation walk around Nafplio before dinner.

Day 07
Travel to Mycenae today, but first spend some more time with a licensed guide in Epidaurus. After some free time for lunch, one of the traditional pottery studios in the area awaits, where you will try your hand at pottery making. This workshop will reveal the rules and techniques of the most ancient industry of Greece, and will teach you a lot about Mycenean and modern pottery techniques. Return to the hotel with some free time before dinner.

Day 01
