Sweden and the Midnight Sun
Experience the stunning landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture of Sweden whilst exploring some of the most charming cities including Stockholm, Uppsala, and Luleå. Included is a journey on the Inlandsbanan Scenic Train from Gallivare to Ostersund.

Day 02
Coach tour of Stockholm. Stockholm encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. The cobblestone streets and ochre-colored buildings of Gamla Stan (the old town) are home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum, which focuses on the Nobel Prize.
Day 03
Today we take a coach transfer to Uppsala and enjoy a local guided walking tour of Uppsala visiting Uppsala Cathedral and Uppsala Castle. The city of Uppsala is one of the oldest in Sweden. It has played a dominant role in the political, intellectual and historical development of the country. One of the main institutions is Uppsala University, founded in the city in 1477. established on the western banks of the Fyris river. Two course dinner at a local restaurant or at the hotel.
Day 04
After breakfast we take a transfer to Arlanda airport for our internal flight to Luleå. After checking in at the hotel, we will enjoy a walking tour of Luleå.
Day 05
A wonderful day visiting this region of Sweden. Jokkmokk’s excellent Sami museum, Ájtte, tells the story of the region’s indigenous people and the forbidding landscape that they’ve inhabited for millennia. It is perfectly placed in Jokkmokk which is right in the heart of the Sami's ancestral lands. Then on to visit a Sami family to enjoy a hot drink with story telling and jolk (traditional form of song). Continue onto the Midnight Sun excursion to Dundreberget with fika, outdoor. Dinner and overnight at the Grand Hotel Lapland (or similar).

Day 01
Welcome to Stockholm, Sweden. Take a transfer from Arlanda airport to your hotel.
Day 02

Day 06
After breakfast we take the short walk to the station to take the Inlandsbanan and experience the Swedish inland from Gallivare, the northernmost point of Inlandsbanan, to Ostersund. It takes you through a unique cultural landscape, discovering classic gems along the route, such as the Arctic Circle just south of Jokkmokk. The journey then continues south towards Vilhelmina; you may wish to eat at the award-winning restaurant Bergmans Fisk & Vilt, one of the train stops,-------------------------------------------------- N.B. You can place a food order on the train in advance, so when you arrive, it will be ready for pickup. You usually pay directly to the food vendor, unless the train attendant communicates otherwise. The timetable will show where, when, and for how long the train stop. From the onboard menu, you can buy coffee and snacks during the journey, and you can also find the menu for the meal stops-----------Upon arrival at Ostersund a private transfer will take you from the station to the hotel.
Day 07
Following breakfast, we take a private transfer from the hotel to Ostersund station. The train will return us to Stockholm where we will spend our final night.
Day 08
Have a final breakfast and take the transfer to Arlanda Airport for your flight home.
