Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery - Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery

The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery displays treasures from the University of Leeds' exceptional art collection and mounts innovative temporary exhibitions. Stanley Burton was a supporter of the University of Leeds for over 40 years, aiding in the establishment of its art collection and galleries in the 1970s. It was opened in 2007 and provides a peaceful and intimate environment to appreciate a diverse selection of artworks and discover innovative new exhibitions. The Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery is a public exhibition housed by the University of Leeds, rooted in Yorkshire and open to the world.

Henry Moore Institute

One of the largest sculpture galleries in Europe with three spaces for temporary exhibitions, the Henry Moore Institute welcomes everyone to visit their Galleries, Research Library and Archive of Sculptors' Papers to experience, study and enjoy sculpture from around the world. The Institute can be found in the centre of Leeds, the city where Henry Moore (1898-1986) began his training as a sculptor.

Leeds City Museum

Located in the heart of the city, Leeds City Museum, originally established in 1819, is a treasure trove of six galleries and home to some incredible collections, including the Leeds Tiger and Nesaymun, the Ancient Egyptian Mummy. Discover the natural world in the Life on Earth gallery with centuries-old fossils, extinct animal bones and stunning specifies from around the world.  

Kirkstall Abbey

Kirkstall Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery in Kirkstall, north-west of Leeds city centre. It is set in a public park on the north bank of the River Aire and was founded c.1152. It was then disestablished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII.  The picturesque ruins have been drawn and painted by artists such as JMW Turner, Thomas Girtin and John Sell Cotman.
