Peel via Tynwald
As you walk along old railway lines, take in the rolling Manx countryside before stopping at the seaside town of Peel. Here you will find the island's main fishing port and red sandstone buildings, alongside the Cathedral and a selection of museums. At Tynwald Hill, you will find one of the island's most distinctive landmarks and the signal of the island's independence as a self-governing crown dependency.
IOM Motor Museum
Explore the amazing stories behind the collection of over 500 unique exhibits, including classic cars, rarely seen motorcycles motorcycles as well as steam and larger exhibits. The Isle of Man occupies a unique place in motorsports heritage, and at the core of the museum there is the Cunningham collection with its gathering of historically significant vehicles and cars with personal family stories.
The House of Manannan
Named after the mythological sea god, Manannan, embark on an atmospheric journey through two thousand years of life on the Isle of Man. From a legend told on a stormy night in an Iron Age roundhouse to a Viking Age longhouse discover how Vikings expressed their beliefs through art through to feeling the port of Peel's sights, sounds and smells in the 1800s.
The Great Laxey Wheel
Also known as Lady Isabelle, the Great Laxey Wheel is the largest survivng, original working water wheel in the world. This feat of Victorian engineering has attracted thousands of tourists for the previous 170 years, and still provides one of the most memorable visitor experiences today.
Snaefell Mountain Railway
This unique Victorian enterprise, around 5 miles long, is the only electric railway in the British isles. Peaked at 2,036 feet above sea level, you may be able to see some or all of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Isle of Man.
Grove Museum
Step inside the Grove Museum, the cherished country home of the Gibb family. The Gibb sisters’ lived a frugal but spirited life, working to maintain the place they called home. Find out about life below the stairs in the servant’s quarters and see the working beehive. Outside, try to find the secret garden, see vintage farm equipment, spend time in the country garden and meet some of the famous Loaghtan sheep grazing on the fields.
Castletown & Castle Rushen
Take a stroll around the former capital of Mann with winding streets, picturesque cottages along the harbour and a Viking castle towering over the centre of the town. Visit Castle Rushen, one of the best preserved medieval castles in the world. Once a civil war fortress and Victorian prison, step into the intricate architecture with mythical creatures in the wall hangings.
Old House of Keys
This Georgian building was built in 1821 as the first purpose-built debating group for Members of the House of Keys. Some of the most fundamental debates took place during the 50 years the House of Keys sat in this building, before moving to Doulgas in 1874.
Cregneash
On a plateau overlooking the Calf of Man, Cregneash is the oldest folk open-air museum in the Isle of Man. One of the last strongholds of the Manx language, step back in time to see how crofters used to live and work in this farming community. Step inside traditional Manx cottages to experience the stories, skills and craft demonstrations, and outside, explore the farm, gardens and stunning scenery.

The steam railway is the longest narrow steam gauge in Britain that still uses original locomotives and carriages. Opened in 1873 and running through the island's charming countryside, sit back and relax as the scenergy gradually passes you by.
