Itinerary/Excursions

Tresco

Tresco is the second largest of the islands and a subtropical gem. It is the only one of the islands to be privately-owned; it is currently cared for by Lucy and Robert Dorrien-Smith. This island has a little bit of everything – from dramatic rocky outcrops, bronze age burial sites and romantic castle ruins, to secluded sandy beaches and, of course, the world famous Tresco Abbey Gardens which was established in the 1830s by Augustus Smith.

The Garrison

Enjoy an orientation tour around The Garrison and its walls, learning about the 350 year old history. This remarkable coastal defence is a must-see when on St Mary's.

Hugh Town

Hugh Town is the largest settlement on the Isles of Scilly and its administrative centre. The town is situated on the island of St Mary's, the largest and most populous island in the archipelago, and is located on a narrow isthmus which joins the peninsula known as the Garrison with the rest of the island.

St Agnes

St Agnes is the southernmost populated island in the Isles of Scilly. With a population of 82, this island is completley unspoilt and incredibly peaceful.

Troytown Maze

Located on St Agnes, the Troytown Maze refers to the winding streets of Troy, an ancient city. It is rumoured that it was built to protect sailors from harsh winds.

St Martin's

St Martin's is the northernmost populated island, with 135 inhabitants. Here, you will find untouched beaches, rocky coves and incredible sea views.
