Itinerary/Excursions
Day 01 - Arrival
Transfer from your chosen pick-up point to airport. Once at your destination, transfer to your hotel and enjoy dinner.
Day 02 - Prague Old Town & Vitava River Cruise
Take a walking tour through the Old Town, starting at the Powder Tower, the historical gate to the Old Town. A relaxing walk through the narrow and picturesque streets will show you the unique diversity of the architectural styles from Gothic to Art Noveau. Learn the fascinating facts and legends of the 1000 year-old capital of Bohemia. End the tour close to the Charles Bridge, where you will then enjoy a river cruise along the Vitava River. This will offer an unmatched perspective on the city's stunning Old Town, Charles Bridge and the Castle. Visit a traditional restaurant in the centre of the city for dinner, sampling Czech specialities.
Day 03 - Charles Bridge & Prague Castle
Start your walking tour by Charles Bridge, and take a relaxing walk surrounded by beautiful Baroque sculptures and the stunning panoramas of Prague. Here you will learn more about the myths, facts and legends that encompass Czech history. We pass the Church of Saint Nicholas, thought to be one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in Prague, and climb up the colourful Nerudova Street to explore the largest ancient castle complex in the world. Visit three courtyards of Prague Castle, admiring spectacular Saint Vitus Cathedral- the resting place of Kings of Bohemia. Stop at the Old Royal Palace and the Basilica of Saint George, before leaving the castle complex with free time to explore the city centre at your leisure. As the afternoon begins to close, enjoy a wine tasting and delicious dinner in one of the most romantic wine areas close to the city.
Day 04 - West-Bohemia: Karlovy Vary
Travel through the picturesque West Bohemiam countryside to the ancient spa town of Karlovy Vary, situated in the beautiful forested valley known for its 12 thermal springs. Visit the town's Moser glass factory and learn the products which were favoured by the country's ruling elite during the 19th and 20th centuries, and it is still one of the world's most prestigious brands of crystal glassware. You will get the chance to see the skilled glassblowers at work, and perhaps purchase some of the exquisite crystal in the gift shop. Continue into Karlovy's stately centre, home to spa colonnades and fountains. Sample some of the town's fresh water, along with the town's famous wafers which are smeared with chocolate, vanilla and other delicious toppings. You will also be trying Becheroka, a traditional herbal liquer that's synonymous with the town before heading back to your hotel.
Day 05 - Departure
Transfer from your hotel to the airport. Once in the UK transfer back to your chosen drop-off point.
