Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Fly from your airport, and transfer to your hotel in Verona. Dinner at hotel.

Day 02

A 2-hour walking tour with a local guide in Verona will show you the many sights, architecture, and stories surrounding the charming city. After working up an appetite on your walking tour, enjoy a 2-course lunch at a local restaurant, with water and wine. Tonight you will be going to see Carmen, Bizet's indisputable masterpiece at the Arena di Verona.

Day 03

Mantua is a wonderfully medieval city, surrounded by three artificial lakes. Renowned for the architectural legacy of the Renaissance Gorgonza rulers, here you will discover the history and architecture on a 3-hour walking tour and with entry to the Ducal Palace. The highlight of the UNESCO site of Mantua, and its grandiose architectural complex, the Ducal Palace was home to the Gorgonza family. After exploring Mantua, spend some free time in Borghetto, a wonderfully tranquil and charming village.

Day 04

Today you can spend a day at leisure, before going to see La Boheme at the Arena di Verona tonight. You can choose to spend the day exploring, or if you wish to relax at the hotel a 3-course lunch will be provided.

Day 05

Discover Lake Iseo, one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes at the foot of the Alps. Continue through the hilly landscape of the Franciacorta wine region, famous for high-quality sparkling wines, and visit a local winery to taste the wines with typical products.

Day 06

Take a private coach transfer from your hotel to the airport, then fly back to the UK.
