    Harewood House & Gardens

A beautiful country house built between 1759 and 1771 for Edwin Lascelles, Harewood House has Robert Adam-designed interiors, priceless art and a wonderful landscaped garden. The house was used as a major filming location for the ITV drama 'Victoria', and the Victorian era had a huge influence on the Harewood Bird Garden. Although the bird garden wasn't yet built when the young Princess Victoria visited Harewood in 1835, the era had a major influence on the zoo you can visit today.
