There are some super city destinations to choose from - and we think they can provide the best of both worlds, especially if you’re planning ahead for the chillier winter months.
City breaks offer a wide choice of hotel accommodation along with great shopping and entertainment on the doorstep. Yet many of our cities are only a stone’s throw from beautiful countryside – allowing you to ring the changes and include a wide variety of sightseeing and attractions in your tailor-made break.
Here’s our starter for ten on some great cities. They all offer major tourist attractions along with venues for art, music and history lovers. But they are also great touring bases for nearby countryside or coastlines.
