John Brain - Director
John is the first point of call for customers wishing to obtain a holiday quotation. He will discuss the requirements of your group in order to put together your holiday package price and will liaise with hotels to arrange the necessary accommodation. John has over 31 years experience in the group travel industry and has worked at Airedale Tours since 1987. Being a season ticket holder, John has supported Manchester United since childhood.
Cath Chapman - Accounts Assistant
Cath assists with the financial side of things and is responsible for banking monies paid for holidays, preparing and checking Group Holiday Accounts, sending out refunds and paying invoices. She also helps out with answering the telephone and dealing with queries. Cath is John's sister and has worked at Airedale for 5 years. She enjoys having friends round for meals and, amongst other things, she loves making green, red or blue custard for some of her younger (and older) friends!
Amani Claughton - Commercial & Marketing Manager
Amani is responsible for Airedale's marketing activities including the development of new products & holiday ideas, arranging advertising and the production of all our leaflets, brochures and other marketing materials. Amani also assists with the writing and planning of holiday itineraries. She has worked for Airedale Tours for almost 3 years, is a dedicated supporter of Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club and enjoys fell-walking.
David Kettell - Managing Director
David joined Airedale Tours in 2000, an enjoyable change from running a small engineering business and many years in finance. As MD, David is involved in all aspects of the Company's activities, particularly finance and is the one eyed fool in the blind world of IT (he can spot a loose power lead!). As well as Airedale Tours, David is involved with North American Highways, a tour operator specialising in individual holidays to Canada, Alaska and the rest of USA. Outside of work David runs a taxi and events service for 3 children and finds many excuses to avoid needed exercise.
Dave Phillips - Director
Dave deals with all matters relating to the coach & ferry transport aspects of Airedale holidays. He has responsibility for the vetting of coach companies along with arranging vehicles for every tour we run, taking account of any special requirements groups may have with regard to their transport. Dave also plans and writes holiday itineraries and can book any special visits that groups might require. In addition to his transport related responsibilities, Dave also fulfils the role of Company Secretary. Dave joined Airedale Tours almost 18 years ago and, like John, is a season ticket holder and supporter of Manchester United Football Club.
Fiona Thompson - Administration Assistant
Fiona is responsible for sending rooming / passenger lists to Group Organisers, hotels, coach and ferry companies. She also deals with telephone calls and day to day queries. Tony, Fiona's father founded Airedale Tours and Fiona worked for Airedale from the outset in 1985, but left for some years whilst she raised her family. She returned to the company in 1998. Fiona says she doesn't have much time for hobbies as it is a full time job looking after three teenagers!
Sandra Rudge - Secretary
Sandra provides secretarial support for the company including typing quotations and correspondence. She also assists with the day to day duties of the office such as telephone call handling. Sandra has been with the company for almost 18 years and still enjoys the work - especially talking to Group Organisers. She is married with two young children and enjoys taking the family dog on long walks.
Dawn Brain – Administration Assistant
Dawn is responsible for the compilation and despatch of final documents for every Airedale holiday including luggage labels, final itineraries, details of pick-up times etc. Within the office she also assists with the typing of holiday quotations, general administration and handling telephone calls and queries from Group Organisers. In her free time Dawn enjoys taking care of her new Spaniel puppy Rosie (who is also an honorary member of the Airedale staff!).
