Wuerzburg - Germany's hidden Gem
Nestled beside the River Main, Wuerzburg has a history and heritage evident in many surviving buildings from the medieval and Baroque period. In the Old Town visit the beautiful Romanesque Cathedral of St Killian and cross the 'Old Main Bridge', reminiscent of Prague's Charles Bridge, for great views of the Marienburg Castle seated high on the opposite bank. During our stay we include a guided tour of the stunning Residenz Palace.

Boat trip to Veitshöchheim Rococo Gardens
Starting at the "Alter Kranen" boat pier in Wuerzburg, we meander down the Main River past vineyards and the convent Oberzell to the town of Veitshöchheim, site of the former summer residence of the prince-bishops of Wuerzburg. Here we enjoy a stroll through one of the most beautiful rococo gardens in the whole of Europe.

Tour of the Juliusspital Winery with 3 wines
The Baroque estate of the Juliusspital foundation is surrounded by magnificent gardens. When Prince-Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn recognised during his reign that almshouses and hospitals were required for the needy, he set up the foundation in 1576. In order to maintain the Juliusspital, from the very first days vineyards were part of the solution, financing its social projects. The foundation became known for its excellent wine – and has been ever since.

Tour of the Behringer Estate with 5 wines
A rural wine estate set in the heart of Franconian Wine Country, Behringer Vineyard looks back on a proud 380 year tradition. For these wine producers a love of viticulture and love of life itself are undeniably linked. After our visit, including a tasting of 5 wines, we hope you will agree!
